"Love Devotion Surrender" by Carlos Santana and Mahavishnu John McLaughlin gets a 50th Anniversary release on SACD format for the very first time. Pressed as a hybrid edition, the SACD layer uses a DSD master converted from the original quadraphonic master while the CD layer uses the master from SACD. Presented in a gatefold 7" mini LP replica of the US quadraphonic album artwork, booklet and original promotional mini poster.

  1. An SACD disc with one or more Direct Stream Digital (DSD) layers, designed to play on an SACD player only

  2. A hybrid SACD containing an additional Compact Disc Digital Audio (CDDA) layer that can be played on any standard CD player

This is a hybrid SACD and will play on any standard CD player, but only at conventional CD quality. To play the DSD layer requires an SACD compatible player.
