Returning to the roots of jazz, 'Day Breaks' contains 9 original tracks and 3 covers, Horace Silver's 'Peace,' Duke Ellington's 'Fleurette Africaine' and Neil Young's' Don't Be Denied'" Participating musicians include saxophonist Wayne Shorter, organist Dr. Lonnie Smith, and drummer Brian Blade.
