Commemorating its 50th anniversary, Billy Joel's 'Piano Man' is available on the SACD format for the first time. The 4-channel SACD layer is a quadraphonic surround mix from the original 4-channel source mastered in DSD at Sony Music Studio in Japan. The SACD stereo layer is newly mastered in DSD from the original analog 2-channel source, and the CD layer is converted from the SACD DSD master to PCM, pressed on the high quality Blu-spec CD2 format.

Including many unreleased demos and rare live recordings from the "Piano Man" period, the CD includes 7 tracks that have never before been released on CD before whilst the DVD contains rare live & music video footage with eight previously unreleased clips.

Finally, the set comes with a replica 1973 US press kit, a replica 'Piano Man' Japanese 7" single sleeve, four replica Japanese LP obi strips and other rare memorabilia. Presented in a 7" paper jacket sleeve and a booklet.
