'Breakfast in America' is English rockers Supertramp's sixth studio album. Recorded in 1978 at The Village Recorder in Los Angeles it produces three US hit singles: 'The Logical Song', 'Goodbye Stranger' and 'Take the Long Way Home'. This Japanese reissue is remastered on the hi-res SHM-SACD format and includes an obi strip and booklet.

ⓘ SHM-SACD - manufactured using a high quality polycarbonate plastic with improved transparency allowing for more accurate reading of the data. SHM-SACDs have the same compatibility as SACDs.

ⓘ Super Audio CD (SACD) is an optical disc format which provides a higher bit rate than a conventional CD, with improved clarity and dynamic range. Increased storage allows audio to be encoded in multichannel surround, although not all discs offer this feature. There are two types of SACD:

  1. An SACD disc with one or more Direct Stream Digital (DSD) layers, designed to play on an SACD player only

  2. A hybrid SACD containing an additional Compact Disc Digital Audio (CDDA) layer that can be played on any standard CD player

This SACD does not include a conventional CDDA layer and can only be played on an SACD compatible player.
